FireEdge AI / Legal

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FireEdge AI collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit fireedge.ai, use our Discover portal, or contact us.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

FireEdge AI (“FireEdge AI”, “we”, “us”) builds and operates private AI infrastructure that runs inside our customers’ own facilities.

This policy applies to personal information we collect through:

  • our website at fireedge.ai and its subdomains, including the Discover portal at discover.fireedge.ai
  • emails, calls, meetings and events where you deal with us as a prospect, partner, investor or vendor

It does not cover data our customers process inside their own AI factory. For that data, the customer decides the purposes and we act on their instructions (see section 3).

By using our website you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the site.

We collect most of this directly from you. We may also receive business contact details from public professional sources, event organisers or referrals, and we use them only for relevant business outreach.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information through the website. Please do not include it in a form or message.

3. Customer data in our services

Our private AI factories run inside a customer’s own custody boundary. The documents, queries, retrieval context and model outputs that pass through a factory belong to the customer.

For that data, the customer is the controller (or “business”) and FireEdge AI acts as its processor (or “service provider”). We process it only on the customer’s documented instructions and as set out in our agreement with them, including any data processing addendum.

If you are an end user of one of our customers’ systems and have a privacy question or request about that data, please contact that customer directly. If you contact us, we will pass your request to them where we can identify them.

4. How we use and share information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange conversations about our services
  • create, secure and manage Discover accounts
  • run, protect and improve the website
  • send business updates you have asked for or that are relevant to your role; you can opt out at any time
  • negotiate and perform agreements, invoice, and meet legal and accounting duties
  • detect fraud, abuse and security incidents

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, or compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We share information only with:

  • service providers that host our website, provide email, analytics, security, customer-relationship and communications tools, and process data on our instructions
  • professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and insurers
  • a buyer or investor, and their advisers, in a merger, financing or sale of our business
  • authorities, where the law requires it or to protect rights, safety or security

If we transfer personal information across borders, we use safeguards that the applicable law recognises, such as standard contractual clauses.

5. Cookies, retention and security

Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep the site and your Discover session working. We may also use analytics cookies to see how visitors use the site. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it before setting non-essential cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop working. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we honour the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it.

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are typically deleted within 24 months. Contract and billing records are kept for the period that tax and accounting law requires. Account data is deleted or anonymised after the account closes, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security. We protect personal information with access controls, encryption in transit, and logging, and we limit access to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • correct inaccurate information and ask us to delete it
  • restrict or object to our processing, including direct marketing
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
  • complain to your data protection authority

California residents. You may ask us to disclose, correct or delete personal information and to limit its use or disclosure. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

How to exercise your rights. See section 7 for how to contact us. We may need to verify your identity first, and we respond within the time the applicable law sets, usually 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in them.

7. Children, changes and contact

Children. Our website and services are meant for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party sites. The website may link to other sites. We do not control their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Changes. We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new date at the top, and where a change is significant we will tell you more directly.
